I have to admit, I loved it! It really opens your face, and not to mention gives you a face lift since the hair is pulled so tight.
To all the beautiful black women that are always asking me if I wear "lace front" wigs, no I do not. I have actually never even seen one and had to ask my hair stylists what it even was. I do have a two wigs (a black bob wig with bangs, and a red bob wig), but I do not wear wigs on a regular basis. What I do wear are clip in extensions :)
For the front, my hair stylist created a poof or Pompadour to add some flare. Next time, I think I'll try it fully slicked back. Rather than keeping the pony straight, we decided to curl it a bit and then brush out the curls to make it have a messy look.
For my makeup, we went for really pretty pinks and pastels colors. My hair stylist, Etienne Ortega, is also a makeup artist. For this look, he did both!
Overall, I had a great great night, and I loved trying a new hair style. Big hair is great, but I'm obsessed with the pony tail now, so I'll definitely be rocking it more!

ReplyDeleteHey Lilly you have absolutely gorgeous hair and the ponytail is flattering on you. I think you may be getting questions about whether you wear lace front wigs becaus you have such a perfect hairline. Perhaps that's why people are thinking that!
ReplyDeleteShe said she lasered her forehead/hair line years ago. Alot of middle eastern girls do that to rid baby hair. An alternate to laser is threading your hairline. I had a friend that did it weekly before lasering it! Ups to being hairy amazing hair lashes eyebrows... Other then that a laser is ur best friend ha!

It's really popular because of the line's bottom lashes (and cute packaging) which are super natural but dramatic. Just showing it because we don't really have anything here in the U.S. like it (in terms of quality and it's cute marketing) and since you have your lash line I just thought it would be a good reference especially because a lot of Americans, Europeans, etc. are following Asian fashion/cosmetics/style. Do you wax your hairline? It looks a bit too perfectly straight and pushed back too far. Sometimes makes your hair look like a bad wig. Not hating. Noticed it many times but finally decided to just ask.
